Visit our Museum on line...well a Collection at least
We love our Museum and now it's possible to visit a major collection from the Museum on line.
To visit the Smithsonian Institutions Arctic Studies Collection just click here
You can browse by Culture
Or by Theme within a culture ...just choose a culture and go from there :0)
Or search across the collection...here
I chose baskets to look at and here are a couple of examples
this one
is here
and this one
is here
So if you have time go visit and have fun !!!
Am I behind the times, but this seems an amazing way to access the museum's contents. Doesn't beat visiting, of course, but I'm unlikely to be visiting Alaska in the near future!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to be able to visit selections of museum collections virtually..especially as so many are so far away :0)
