Sparkly beads we were like Magpies at a feast....

Also on Saturday at the Museum was the Annual Beads Art Gala

Which fortunately for those on a budget included a table where you could for $5 dollars make yourself a bracelet!

So the girls set to and did so.

It was a simple technique take a piece of  "Memory wire" thin stainless steel wire that has been coiled and remembers the shape.

Bend a small circle or coil at one end ...thread beads onto it ..randomly or in a careful pattern ...bend the end with a matching coil and you are done ....excellent results.... so excellent that we nipped to a store on the way home bought inexpensive glass beads and memory wire on clearance ..borrowed my OH's wire clippers are were off .
My attempt using beads from a broken necklace plus a few extras.
It's springing isn't that fun!
And rather addictive three bracelets later...

  Much fun was had :o)

  3. Love those bracelets! And you make it sound so easy. (Thinks: Maybe that's what I'd be good at.)

    1. It is Super easy ! honest ..the only thing to watch is the wire if you need to trim it as it wishes to fly at speed...yikes

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
