Snow...snow and lots of it!

Ok This Winter we have had snow and I do mean snow....lovely white deep stuff...but deep  and hard on the moose and other wildlife and deep on the roof which is a little perturbing.
Snow snaps... the back gate

  A view down the road
 and up the road
 The back gate
On top of the garden fence
 The roof ....a bit deep
 the back fence...

  5. Oh my! What a lot of snow. Do you have to brush it off the roof, or is it built to take the weight? It looks so beautiful.

    1. We've never brushed it off yet Cheryl but this is a record year and can I confess I'm getting a little twitchy about it!
It does look beautiful though doesn't it.

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
