This is a book about a dog called Lassie, a boy called Joe,and a LOT of other characters.Lassie is sold, she escapes 3 times,then her new owner moves to Scotland, and she escapes(again).
This is a book of how she comes home.
I loved this book. I recommend it.

I haven't read this book, Kate, but I'm glad it had a happy ending. Never, ever read Marley and Me.

Oh, Kate, this was wonderful! We used to have a Collie and we loved him so much. The person we bought him from had a large collection of books, both fiction and nonfiction, about Collies, and this was one of them. I think I read it when I was about your age. There is also a great movie which is available from Netflix. I saw it when I was a girl and loved it. You wrote a great review, and I liked the inclusion of the cover and the actual words. Thank you!

Lassie Come Home is a great story. I also noticed that you like John Buchan. I thought Sick Heart River was an incredible book, extremely moving. I am a great fan of Buchan's. I live in Virginia. The first book I read was 39 Steps, and I thought that aside from the suspense, he is a beautiful writer, very poetic. I also loved Witchwood. It must be interesting to live in Alasaka--stay warm!
