Bits and Bobs

I am listening to Greensleeves being played on the organ as I type ...and it's very beautiful. Before it was Bach and next ..who knows?
The organ was unwanted by it's Church and needed a new home ..it took them a while to realize that Electric Organs (even those with lovely stops that originally cost exorbitant amounts of money) depreciate like rocks and therefore she was eventually free... except of course for the cost of hiring a trailer to move her, and the cost of replacing a window with french doors to allow her into the house... which I admit was rather ouch... but we did the work ourselves so that helped. When she was finally in and working the Church received a donation and all were happy. Now she has been connected to a new computer and Hauptwork has been installed ..have you ever noticed how free things can be rather expensive... still the sounds coming out of our (really rather crowded) den are very impressive.

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
