Crayon roll/case

To look after those crayons not smashed, broken and melted into crayon cookies you need a case... I never knew this until I saw Cheryl's blog which included this tutorial click here

I couldn't resist it...I had some scraps of fabric and some felt...the instructions were great and very clear... here's the result

Open...

And rolled up ...

It's a lovely tutorial Thanks Cheryl... Now I have to make one for younger daughter in the interests of fairness and home harmony and then I think I could use the basic idea to make a craft roll....

Lovely

Ok just finished the second one...it's much quicker second time around (bl.Kate asks me to add "don't get careless though" I think my quality control supervisor is watching me....)

I just added a piece of ribbon and a button and you just wrap the ribbon around the button a couple of times to secure the roll.

  1. Oh, wow. Your crayon roll looks great. I love the fabric you used. So sweet with the butterflies and ladybirds.

I think you did a lovely job on the roll. I'm glad the tutorial was clear enough. Also like the idea of a craft roll.

Hope this activity was easier to clear up than the remodelled crayons!

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
