New Project started...Raven

Started A Raven wall hanging last night.
Using a piece of 100% wool felt this time (Half price in the sale at Joann's store)
Rough sketch of a Raven head.

Added some Black tops needle-felted in then a little white and black tops for the beginnings of the beak.

Found a Button in Granny's button tin for the eye.

Puzzled a little and decided to add a Sun/Moon to the picture with pale yellow and some white wool.

I have ideas on the next bit and would like to charge along ...but...slipped on black ice this morning and did something to/sprained? my little finger on my right hand so I'm resting it today and hopefully get on tomorrow!

Hope you are having a fun and Sunny time. (We had ice and snow this morning and Sun this afternoon!)

  1. Oh goodness. That is looking amazing. Is there no stopping you now? Not that I'm suggesting you do. Hope your sprain is better soon.

  2. On a roll or what??? Shame you've had to pause but hope you're all mended soon. (Your sprain reminded me of the time when I was about nine and a girl at ballet class thought it would be a good idea to pull back the little finger on my left hand. My mother just told me to stop crying. Poor finger still bends at a funny angle.)

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
