  1. Seems terrible for someone from Cornwall to say but I've never read anything by Rosamunde Pilcher... not even The Shell Seekers. I assume you would recommend her books? Yes, that lot of ebooks should keep you busy. I have Mystery in White myself.

  4. Love that cat! The two here are driving us mad as they're refusing to go outside because of the cold weather but then have all this pent up energy. I read Mystery in White recently and really enjoyed it. It's very much a novel of its time (1930s) but an easy read.

  5. The Old cat is (much to his disgust) stuck indoors as he's too frail (in our opinion if not his) to cope with the cold..he's still in tremendously good voice though and not afraid to let us know his opinion... I still haven't read the book yet but am glad it's an easy read as that's what my brain needs at the moment! lol

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
