We had a busy Summer despite not being fixed up in the Shoulder department..all I can say about that is if your instinct tells you to get a second opinion do not be swayed by a deliciously attractive prognosis.
"You'll be fine to Kayak" and we Kayaked ..a bit painfully and not well mind.."stick with the physical therapy" ..so I did ..I Even believed the Therapist re "Good Pain" I know, I know I shouldn't be let out without a Nanny.
Suffice to say the Shoulder was not happy, so in the end my own family Doc stared at my arm and pondered and pointed out if you've a torn tendon it won't fix itself "Get an MRI" So I did and I have "A complete thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon" and that's ignoring the SC joint...you know I think I may be falling to bits and my warranty has definitely run out Oh dear.
So I have an appointment with the Surgeon tomorrow.
Well thinking positive..I now have an excuse to read every ones blogs to my hearts content! My Sister say's I can also now blog enthusiastically (left handed) as I'm likely to be out of action for all else for a while. Is that good news? or an awful warning?
Anyway I better be off for a bit more frantic Autumn Cleaning (I missed Spring Cleaning completely) before I get banned .

Nice to see you back, I wondered where you were. Sorry to hear about your shoulder. I had tendon problems in my shoulder about 12 years ago... it took them 9 months to get it right and it still plays up from time to time. Take care!
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you back, Val. The shoulder problem sounds painful as well as inconvenient so I hope it is fixed soon. Still, one-handed blogging is better than none at all!
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies on the loss of your beloved dog. We lost ours in the middle of my chemo treatment and the two events became inextricably linked. We have never been able to replace him but we keep the happy memories alive.
Maureen
I'm glad that you're back and looking forward to all your long, lefthanded posts - but I'm sorry to hear about the shouldler. I do hope you'll set a record as the patient that healed sooner than anybody else!

Hi Cath..it's good to be back in computer range! and now I have no excuse not to dip my toes in the RIP challenge :0)
ReplyDeleteOh Maureen chemo and the loss of your dog would be beyond horrid, I feel for you there..It's very strange to have no dog in the house to talk nonsense to..but it's good to have Happy memories though isn't it...The girls have been promised a puppy so chaos may ensue and the house will seem more familiar...:0)
Thank you for the kind wishes Margaretha..you have me thinking I must find my camera and take some Autumn pictures ..I also have the little Princess as a radio play that I must find and play :0)
What a nice bunch of messages to greet me as I staggered out of bed clutching my mug of tea...You are all very kind Thank you
Hey, welcome back!! I guessed you were off exploring. Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Sounds like the pits. At least you can hold a book and type one handed (not at the same time, of course). Must be a new crafting skill you can acquire, which only needs one hand. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl...perhaps I should try crochet again, if it only requires a small amount of hand movement?
ReplyDeleteMy Great Aunt only had one arm and would put me to shame on all the crafts and things she could do!
Enforced reading ..sounds like a hard life ...lol
Now I better post about the exploring :0)
