  3. We were so lucky we saw the otter or his friend every day of our last trip :0)

On the last day my husband had his good camera with him on the beach when the otter appeared close to shore....if only his wife hadn't shouted "Girls an Otter" very loudly

  6. There is something about otters isn't there... they were so playful
They kept a good distance but didn't seem disturbed by us either
I hadn't realized how big they are..
and they really do float on their backs and eat shell fish :0)

  7. What is it about those faces that makes them so appealing? Maybe there is a dog-like quality?? Wonderful pictures. It has been far too long since I've been near the ocean.

from an old gravestone

If you hold your nose to the Grindstone
and you leave it there long enough,
Then soon you'll say
there's no such things
as brooks that babble
and birds that sing,
these three will all your world compose,
just you, the stone and your poor old nose.

(from memory so may not be word perfect)
